VEHICLE THEFT IS A REALITY

No one thinks that their vehicle will ever be stolen, but unfortunately the likelihood is greater than you think:

• Last year 1.2 million vehicles were stolen across the nation, or one every 25 seconds from driveways, mall parking lots or parking areas at work.
• Vehicle thieves follow market trends, so not only do they look to steal fancy or expensive vehicles, but they are more likely to target the most popular vehicles because they provide the best market for stolen parts and for illegal export to other countries (a vehicle is worth three times its book value when it is chopped and sold for parts).

VEHICLE THEFT IS COSTLY

• Insurance will cover the cost of damage if you stolen vehicle is recovered, but once repaired your vehicle is never the same and its resale or trade value is negatively impacted. Plus you still have to cover your deductible payment.

• And you still have to consider the impact on your time and how inconvenienced you will be before you get your vehicle situation back to normal.
